Wellington Lodge 635

Ali Kain

I, :.W.Bro. Ali Kain, as the Worshipful Master of Wellington Lodge No. 635, wish to extend fraternal greetings and a warm welcome to all who enter our website. The purpose of this site is to shed some light on Ancient Free and Accepted Masonry in General, and our Lodge in Particular.

Freemasonry, being by far the largest and most ancient fraternal organization in the world, is firmly based on the common goal of enriching the lives of its members through its body of knowledge and ethics intent on improving each man that is open to its precepts. It is especially unique in the qualifying of its members because although it cannot be concealed that Freemasonry has many members of high rank and affluence, it is vastly significant to note that these are not qualifying traits for membership. Part of the noble base of Freemasonry is that membership is open to any good man who wishes to improve his intellectual or moral foundation for the case of self-improvement and join in the fellowship of a fraternity with like-minded individuals. If you strive to make positive contributions to your society and subscribe to notions such as Brotherly Love, Relief, Truth, and Charity, then Masonry is for you.

Our Grand Lodge, the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario, is allocated into several Districts across the jurisdiction and each of these Districts further contains in it several lodges. Our District is called 'York District' which covers the areas of Vaughan, Bolton, Schomberg, Bradford, Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, Queensville, Stouffville, Uxbridge, Mount Albert and Sutton, containing a total of 19 Lodges. Our Lodge, Wellington Lodge No. 635, is located at the Maple Masonic Temple in Vaughan. We have a very diverse demographic within our lodge, with various ages, occupations, religions, and backgrounds, all working together in that harmony which characterizes Freemasonry.

This website aims to capture some of the spirit of our Lodge, along with some very useful information and links. I sincerely hope that you find it both pleasing and stimulating, and we welcome any comments, suggestions, and conversation that you may offer.
